bp to nix team looking into hydrogen and LNG for transport
4/4/2025
bp is shutting its team looking into hydrogen and LNG for transport, especially trucks, a bp spokesperson, a move which does not affect its electric vehicle (EV) charging business BP Pulse.
bp in February presented a strategy to refocus on oil and gas, slash spending on renewables, reduce its annual investment in EV charging and concentrate its EV growth in Britain, Germany, the U.S., China, India and the Iberian Peninsula.
bp Pulse received a new head last month after its previous chief left the company.
The low-carbon mobility team to be axed includes fewer than ten people, and its activities will be integrated elsewhere in the group, a BP spokesperson said.
