Shell targets year-end decision on LNG Canada's 14-MMtpy Phase 2 project

Shell is targeting a final investment decision on LNG Canada Phase 2 by the end of this year, its CEO said.

Shell is pursuing an expansion of LNG Canada, as it seeks to grow its LNG portfolio and capitalize on rising global demand for the fuel. The first phase of the project, which began operations in June 2025, has a capacity of 14 million metric tons per year, and its proposed expansion would double that.
