TotalEnergies still expects Mozambique LNG project to start up by 2029

TotalEnergies expects its LNG project in Mozambique to begin producing in 2029, CEO Patrick Pouyanne said on Monday, adding that he expected to lift force majeure very quickly.
Pouyanne said all employees at the LNG construction site on Mozambique's Afungi peninsula would be secured, with the site in "containment mode," but that the country's government must approve the updated project budget before works can restart.
