Tokyo Gas to sell 170,000T/Y of LNG to Sumitomo Joint Electric
6/19/2019
TOKYO - Tokyo Gas Co Ltd said that it has signed a heads of agreement to sell 170,000 tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) a year to Sumitomo Joint Electric Power for five years from the 2021 business year. The supplies to Sumitomo Joint Electric Power, a unit of Sumitomo Chemical Co Ltd, will come from multiple LNG projects with which Tokyo Gas has signed contracts, the company said in a statement. It marks Tokyo Gas’ third LNG wholesale deal with “ex-ship” delivery condition in which the seller arranges for LNG ships and transports the LNG to the purchaser’s receiving terminal, a Tokyo Gas spokeswoman said.
