Norway’s pipeline gas exports to Europe surge to new record high
12/30/2015
Norway's pipeline gas exports to Europe rose to an annual record high of 107.9 billion cubic meters as of Dec. 29, according to new data from gas system operator Gassco.
This surpassed the previous record high of 107.6 bcm reached in 2012.
Norway's gas exports increased in 2015 due to higher output at its Troll gas field, which is the country's largest. Statoil is the operator.
Gassco's data excludes Norwegian LNG exports from its Arctic Snoehvit LNG plant.
