Jereh has successfully completed the construction of China’s first shale gas liquefaction plant in Sichuan, China, with a capacity of 2.47 MMcfd of LNG, the company has announced.
The plant is located in Junlian County. In 2014, shale gas output in Junlian was 3.53 MMcfd, while local demand was 423,800 cfd, allowing for more gas to be liquefied for economic returns.
In 2014, Jereh established a strategic partnership with Sichuan Sentai Energy Investment Corp. for shale gas development. The partnership’s second project will start in January 2015, with a capability of up to 10.6 MMcfd.
