Reliance enlists MOL to ship North American ethane to India
12/29/2014
Reliance has signed shipping agreements with Mitsui O.S.K. LINES (MOL) for transporting
liquefied ethane from North America to India, the company confirmed today.
MOL will supervise the construction of six very-large ethane carriers (VLECs), ordered by
Reliance.
MOL will also operate and manage the vessels after they are built and delivered.
With this strategic tie-up with MOL, Reliance says it has achieved a key milestone for the successful implementation of the company's ethane import project to feed crackers in India.
