Germany grants early approval for Brunsbuettel floating LNG terminal

German regulators have granted an early approval to begin construction on a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the port town of Brunsbuettel, state operator Deutsche Energy Terminal said.
The permit, granted by Schleswig-Holstein State Office for the Environment, allows selected works to proceed before the final approval for the facility designed to inject 7.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually, the energy terminal operator added.
