Croatia's LNG terminal to auction 0.75 Bm3 of regasification capacity in May

Croatia's floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) terminal will auction 0.75 Bm3 of regasification capacity in May, the managing director of LNG Croatia said.

"We're hoping all will be ready with the capacity increase for the start of the next gas year. It would be 0.75 bcm for the next 15 years, auction (will be) probably next month," Ivan Fugas told the Budapest LNG Summit.

Additional capacity to the terminal, located on the northern Adriatic island of Krk, would be available as of October, Fugas said.

"The upgrade will bring the terminal capacity up to 3.45 bcm. Once gas grid upgrades are completed, another at least 1 bcm of capacity will be added," Fugas told Reuters on the sidelines of the conference. "That will be by the end of next year," he said.
