New Fortress eyes $3-B investments in Mexico
6/3/2022
(Reuters) - U.S. firm New Fortress Energy is considering various investments in Mexico's energy sector that could be worth $3 B, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Friday.
Lopez Obrador said the potential New Fortress projects included an LNG facility, and mentioned by name the company's Chief Executive Wes Edens.

"With this man alone, it's $3 billion," Lopez Obrador said as he made reference to energy investments in the country during a regular government news conference.
Lopez Obrador said in April that Mexico wants to build new gas liquefaction facilities to export surplus natural gas, and was planning to put the plants out to tender.
