Russia vows to do all it can to prevent gas shortages in Europe this winter - RIA

MOSCOW, Dec 13 (Reuters) - Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Moscow will do everything possible to make sure there are no interruptions to gas supplies to Europe this winter when its transit deal with Ukraine is due to end, the RIA news agency reported.
Ukraine is a key transit route for Russian gas supplies to Europe but a current deal between the countries expires at the end of this year. (Reporting by Polina Ivanova; writing by Tom Balmforth; editing by Susan Fenton)
