Lithuania to import LNG until at least 2044, to purchase LNG vessel

VILNIUS, (Reuters) - Lithuanian parliament voted to operate its liquefied natural gas (LNG) import facility at least until 2044 and told state-owned Klaipedos Nafta to purchase an LNG regasification vessel by late 2024.
The country is currently leasing a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) from Norway’s Hoegh LNG, under a 10-year contract which runs out at the end of 2024. (Reporting By Andrius Sytas; editing by Niklas Pollard)
