Hoegh LNG CEO sees outlook improving due to strong LNG demand in China

OSLO, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Norway’s Hoegh LNG, a provider of specialised vessels for importing liquefied natural gas, said it expected to extend its short-term contract with Chinese CNOOC and to sign more deals.

The company was in the final stages of negotiations for supplying another two floating storage and regasification vessels (FSRU), its chief executive Sveinung Stoehle said.

He didn’t disclose the potential customers, but said he expected these agreements to be signed “very soon.”
