China's July LNG imports rose to a six-month high as demand increased
8/23/2017
BEIJING (Reuters) — China's July LNG imports nearly doubled from a year ago to 3.12 MMt, the highest volume since January, data from the General Administration of Customs showed on Wednesday.
For the first seven months of the year, LNG imports rose 45% from the same period a year ago to 19 MMt, the data showed.
Robust imports came as China expects natural gas consumption to rise by over 10% to 230 Bcm this year, according to a Xinhua report.
