Buckeye Partners reports minor flooding at Corpus Christi LPG facility
US terminal operator Buckeye Partners LP said minor flooding occurred at its facility in Corpus Christi, Texas, in the wake of Tropical Storm Harvey.
A more detailed assessment is currently underway, but there does not appear to be any major damage to the processing plant, the operations building or the marine terminal, a company spokesperson confirmed.
The company began a full plant shutdown at its Corpus Christi facility on Friday, August 25 and suspended all marine terminal operations. The facility is located along the Corpus Christi Ship Channel.
The Buckeye Texas Processing (BTP) facility includes a 50-Mbpd condensate splitter and a system to handle LPG. BTP has 1.1 MMbbl of refrigerated LPG storage, allowing LPG to be aggregated, stored and sold domestically and internationally.
The threat of additional rain will continue to be a concern over the next few days, the spokesperson said.
