Edison: More gas discoveries will be made in Egypt within 3 years

CAIRO (Reuters) -- The chief executive of Italian energy group Edison said on Tuesday he is confident more gas discoveries will be made in Egypt in the next three years.

Edison has signed a $86 million agreement with state-run Egypt Natural Gas Holding (EGAS) for natural gas and oil exploration in the Mediterranean, the Egyptian Petroleum Ministry said on Jan. 5.
