Poland's PGNiG says European Court halts Opal pipeline decision

WARSAW (Reuters) -- The European Court of Justice has halted the implementation of a European Commission's decision to give Russia's Gazprom more capacity on the Opal gas pipeline through Germany, chief executive of Poland's PGNiG said on Tuesday.
"The European Court of Justice has agreed to our appeal to suspend the European Commission decision," Piotr Wozniak, chief of PGNiG, told reporters.
Earlier this month, Poland has appealed the decision by the European Commission to lift a cap on Gazprom's use of the pipeline, which carries gas from the Nord Stream pipeline under the Baltic Sea to customers in Germany and the Czech Republic.
