Rosneft subsidiary completes first stage of new gas pipeline

RN-Nyaganneftegaz, a subsidiary of Rosneft, has finished building the line infrastructure for a new 31.5 km gas pipeline that will connect the Em-Egovskiy license block to a gas processing plant.

This marks implementation of the first of two scheduled construction stages. The second stage will involve the installation of block valves and condensate gathering points.

Once commissioned, the new pipeline will boost the throughput capacity of the gas transmission system for the Em-Egovskiy license Block from 540 MMcm to 1 Bcm a year.

This project is part of a phased development program for the gas transportation system of the enterprise, driven by its plans to maintain and increase oil and associated gas production through the drilling of new wells.

In the long term, due to the commissioning of the new gas line section, additional volumes of up to 460 MMcm of associated gas will be delivered to the gas processing plant each year, helping to maintain associated gas utilization level of at least 95% at the Em-Egovskiy Block.
