US Industry Metrics

In the US, Henry Hub natural gas spot prices climbed briefly above $2/MMBtu in May, but then slid back below that level toward the middle of the month. Prices hovered below $2/MMBtu for most of the quarter as pipeline maintenance and higher production early in the year kept the market well supplied. According to the US Energy Information Administration, output of NGL, LPG, ethane/ethylene and propane/propylene took a sharp dive in February 2016, the last month for which data was available as of the time of publication. The composite NGL price hovered around $5/MMBtu for most of April, after diving below $4/MMBtu in January. GP US gas production (Bcfd) and prices ($/Mcf)
