It is also necessary to understand the available processing options and the complexity that is introduced by multiple-field processing. Gas processing considerations Prior to processing, natural gas comprises a mixture of components (Fig. 1). Processing adjusts the composition to allow for production of elements to saleable specifications, and this includes both impurities removal and hydrocarbon treatment.
