S. P. B. Lemmers, Vopak LNG Holding BV, Rotterdam, The Netherlands An LNG receiving and regasification terminal connects the intermittent process of LNG carrier unloading and/or loading with the mostly continuous process of LNG vaporization and gas transmission into a sendout pipeline system. In addition to these LNG carrier operations, truck/train loading operations can take place simultaneously. During all operational modes of the LNG terminal, boil-off gas (BOG) is produced, which requires processing to avoid flaring or venting (under normal operating conditions) and to minimize the environmental impact of the facility. Part 1 of this article discussed optimal designs for BOG recondens
